1. About these terms

These terms govern every order placed through this website. By placing an order you accept them in full. Please read them before you buy. We may update them from time to time; the version in force is the one published here on the date your order is accepted.

2. Who may buy from us

You may order only if you are at least 18 years old and are purchasing on behalf of a laboratory, institution, company or qualified research programme. By completing checkout you confirm that you are competent to handle, store and dispose of research chemicals safely, and that you are not purchasing for personal use.

3. Research use only

Every product we sell is supplied strictly for in-vitro laboratory research. Our products are not medicines, foods, cosmetics, supplements or household goods. They are not intended for human or veterinary administration, and they have not been evaluated by the European Medicines Agency or any other regulator for safety or efficacy in humans.

You agree not to administer our products to humans or animals, not to resell them for such use, and not to represent them as fit for any such purpose.

4. Orders and acceptance

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we send you a dispatch confirmation. We may decline any order, in whole or in part, without giving a reason, including where stock is unavailable, where a pricing error has occurred, or where we have reasonable grounds to believe the order is not for legitimate research use.

5. Prices and currency

All prices are shown in euro (EUR) and exclude shipping unless stated. Applicable VAT is shown at checkout according to your destination and, where relevant, your validated VAT number.

We take care with pricing but errors occur. If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price we will contact you before dispatch and give you the choice of confirming at the correct price or cancelling for a full refund.

6. Payment

Payment is taken in full at checkout. We do not store your card details, payments are handled by our payment provider under their own security standards. Orders are not picked until payment has cleared.

7. Delivery

Delivery terms, costs and timescales are set out in our Shipping & Delivery policy, which forms part of these terms. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

8. Returns

Our Returns & Refunds policy forms part of these terms and explains what we replace or refund and how to raise a claim.

9. Product information and Certificates of Analysis

Each batch is tested by an independent laboratory and a Certificate of Analysis is published for it. Purity and content figures relate to the specific batch tested and are not a warranty as to any other batch or as to performance in your experimental system.

Descriptions, molecular data and CAS numbers are provided in good faith for identification. Where a compound is commonly confused with a related molecule we say so on the product page; the COA is definitive.

10. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for confirming that the compounds you order may lawfully be imported, held and used for research in your jurisdiction, for handling and storing them in accordance with good laboratory practice, and for disposing of them lawfully.

11. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Subject to that, our total liability arising from any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of data, loss of experimental work, wasted expenditure or any indirect or consequential loss, and we are not liable for any consequence of a product being used outside the research-only terms above.

12. Intellectual property

The text, images, page designs and product photography on this site belong to Symax Peptides or our licensors. You may not reproduce them commercially without our written permission.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by Croatian law and by applicable European Union law. The courts of Zagreb, Croatia have exclusive jurisdiction, save that consumers may bring proceedings in their country of residence where the law gives them that right.
